Yiling (b.2000), aka. ariatays, is a visual artist and writer based in Singapore.
Working across photography, performance and poetry,  her practice examines humanness, intimacy, and vulnerability. She uses image-making and language to investigate interiority, the confessional, and our encounters with the material everyday. Her works serve as close-readings into the ways we live, forming entry points of understanding; materialising critical sites for reconciliation and reclamation.
She holds a BFA (Hons) in Photography and Digital Imaging at NTU’s School of Art, Design and Media, with a minor in Creative Writing from the School of Humanities. She is the winner of the 15th Kwek Leng Joo Prize of Excellence in Photography Award, and a finalist of the 9th SIPF Photobook Open Call. Her writing has been published in AFTERIMAGE Press's newsletter, OFTHENOW.
